Under Depth

I decided to surprise my husband last week by baking him the most delicious chocolate cake he has ever tasted. Since I knew how much he loved chocolates, I wanted to make sure that the cake I gave him would be exta special. To make it look more personalized,I added a little bit of design to it.

I never knew that the internet had loads of cake decorating designs which I found to be very useful for my chocolate cake project. I turned the simple chocolate cake into a work of art, so my husband later gushed. When I already had a couple of cake ideas in my head, I immediately headed to the grocery and checked out what I can use for my cake. There were sprinkles, marshmallows, chocolate chips and even sugar drops. I made a light pink sugary cream which I used to cover the cake. I used the sugar drops as the border to line up the cake. It was simple but it looked really delicious. He could not get enough of the cake that he was able to eat half of it! I never knew that baking a cake would be this fun. It is the ultimate way to show your loved one how important he is in your life.
